The Post which Hates that Beeping Sound

Tremendous tremendous week!





Took my driving test on Friday. I spend most of my time in the training shed that day waiting for my turn to come. After lunch my name was called.

"Recruit Liow! Report to Mr Andy Kua."

My first reaction was.. WHAT THE F***!? He was the same tester who took me for my HSP test 2 weeks ago and he was, nicely put, a very unpleasant person which I had difficulty getting along with.

But seeing that I already the experience of meeting him once, seeing him the second time didn't seem so fearsome. With my knowledge of the verbal massacre from him that was sure to come during the test, I went in with the air of a sacrificed martyr.

He didn't disappoint me. 5 minutes to the test, vulgarities and his spit came flying from my left side and it would continue to be so for the next 55 minutes.

BUT I PASSED! What a relief. Truth be told it was a rather emotional feeling for me then.





With home sweet home in my mind, today seemed to pass pretty well with islandwide driving from Sembawang Camp to Changi Naval Base(where my unit was) for the morning.

Gosh it's already a month since I left CNB. Seemed like a long long time ago. Another month more to go till the end of my driving course and back to Changi I go.

Lugged my terribly heavy duffel bag and field back home on the train and drew many disapproving stares on my sweating and tired self from the commuters.





Will be spending the next few happy days at home, seeing that I can officially stay out as I passed my test. Then its another off day for me on Monday for my interview so its 2.5 days without driving. Fantastic!
