The Post which the Juice

It's a Good Friday indeed!

Had duty yesterday. Something interesting happened. I was supposed to send ration boxes with dinner for the medics in the medical centre. When I went over to put the food in my car, I heard a mew.

I looked down, it was a stray. Now that's strange. In camp I often see stray dogs, rats, mosquitoes, monitor lizards (I'm not kidding) but it occurred to me then I haven't seen a cat in camp before.

The white and grey cat mewed at me again. I suppose it was hungry, so I fed it a bit of muffin I had. The cat seemed to be bloody hungry, devouring whatever I fed it. I threw the rest of the muffin to a bush for it, and I went on my merry way.

This morning, I was about to send the breakfast over when I heard the mew again. Same cat, WAITING ON THE SPOT FOR ME.

So it was pretty cute I guess. Haha. I took out a bun I had (why do I always have food with me) and fed it again, straight off my hand sometimes. This master seargent went past and gave me the "what-a-weirdo" look. LOL

Went out, had lunch with my family at Junction 8.

Apparently my fellow blokes and I had nothing planned, and to our utter horror, we finally decided to... PLAY POOL.

Haha, it's kinda strange to explain this, but a long time ago, way back last year, our group of friends basically whiled and wasted our time away playing pool and doing nothing much new or productive.

So we swore we would never head back to our pooling days, but today it seemed inevitable that we had nothing better to do. We finally trudged back to the pool halls at Parkway after a good 4-5 hiatus.

I then invited the guys over to play basketball, which turned out to be a surprisingly fun. Some tough competition against some tough China folks, and ended up with Alvin get a cut just beside his eye. Woah.

That concludes my very Good Friday! Haha. And it's back to duty tomorrow. Sian.

Feel like playing volleyball a lot though. Hmm.
